India to Host Sri Lanka for 6-Match White-Ball Series Across 6 Cities in December 2026

Date:

India’s men’s team will play a packed 2026-27 home season, featuring 22 international matches across 17 venues, with Sri Lanka set to play a key white-ball series in December.

The schedule, announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, outlines a busy calendar that includes tours by West Indies, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Australia. Among them, Sri Lanka’s tour stands out as an important mid-season assignment comprising three ODIs and three T20Is from December 13 to 27.

The ODI leg of the Sri Lanka series will be played in Delhi, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. The action will then shift to the T20 format, with matches scheduled in Rajkot, Cuttack and Pune.

Sri Lanka Tour of India – 2026
Dates: December 13 to 27, 2026

ODI Series (3 matches):

  1. 1st ODI – Delhi
  2. 2nd ODI – Bengaluru
  3. 3rd ODI – Ahmedabad

T20I Series (3 matches):

  1. 1st T20I – Rajkot
  2. 2nd T20I – Cuttack
  3. 3rd T20I – Pune

Sri Lanka’s tour follows India’s white-ball series against West Indies, which opens the season in September, and precedes Zimbabwe’s ODI visit in January. The home summer will conclude with a five-Test series against Australia, stretching from late January to early March.

For Sri Lanka, the six-match white-ball leg provides valuable exposure in varied conditions across India. The spread of venues, from northern to western and eastern centres, is expected to test the visitors’ adaptability while contributing to India’s extensive 22-match home programme.
